The landing was made between what we HG pilots called 'The Point' and 'The Knob' (Stony Batter), in the area that is now occupied by the toilet block, road, and scrub. In those days most of the timber was Red Cedar and was cut down; the current vegetation is regrowth. Regards, Bernie. (Local resident, Otford, and flew hang gliders here for about 25 years).
