I am not going to get into a debate about better computers or not, but I thought I would help a little.

SeeYou runs perfectly on the free WINE for Mac OS X and Linux, and even better under the commercial ($39 from memory) Cross Over office.

And you can run native windows applications on Mac and Linux using VMWare (free on linux, but you still need a copy of Windows). Plus all intel machines, including Macs, will run Windows - so you could always have a separate partition.

You really are not restricted on which computer you use. But windows is definitely the easiest to install those applications.

Enjoy

Scott
