I think there were a couple of stunts done at big airshows by Derek
Piggot in the UK in Blaniks which went a bit like this.

One was to do a low-level loop where on the low part of the loop he
dived the glider into a gravel pit so the spectators (who could not
see the pit) had the brief excitement of thinking the glider was being
reduced to coke cans before it popped above ground level and ruined
their fun.

A variant of this was done with an RAF passenger in the back seat. The
canopy was replaced with a screen or half canopy and when the Blanik
was inverted at the top of the loop the passenger fell out. This gave
the spectators the brief excitement of expecting an exploding meat
bomb until the passenger's parachute opened.

Apparently the second stunt was not entirely talked through with the
show's organisers causing them more than a brief moment of excitement,
and after that, they didn't ask Derek back again.

And they did all this on beer (or maybe a G&T) not red bull.
