The first 500k in Australia was flown by (I think) Stuart Dohnt in a Ka6 out of 
Waikerie. That sort of started the whole thing off. The Boomerang then came and 
very quickly more records were being flown that you could shake a stick at. 
Again, mostly from Waikerie, Jinks, Rowe knocking off triangles regularly.

I'm not sure it was Stuart but I don't have the AG's handy to check.

10 years later we were hosting the World Comps. Considering most Nationals 
pilots up to 1967 only had Silver C it wasn't a bad effort.
