I am still to be convinced of the value,of .Confor foam as a crash protective 
material.  It is a bit more dense than cushion foam, but not that much.  The 
spring back of cushion foam seems irrelevant to me.  The issue Is deceleration 
during impact. 

Most gilders have about 50mm gap between the seat and the lower shell.  I think 
more value could be obtained by inserting blocks of styrofoam or some other 
crushable material in there.
