That'd be my guess. With as many rectifier systems as Telstra run
nationally it doesn't surprise me that one lets go now and again.

Haven't heard anything about impact so far, apparently was put out using a
hand held fire extinguisher.

Saw one puzzling report that 'Flames have been seen coming from the Telstra
Exchange building on Waymouth St'. Not sure how that works when there's no
windows ;)
