Eg, is Firefox going to consult/honour /etc/hosts when they turn on DoH by default for US citizens in the comings weeks? ([1]) That's a genuine question - I don't know if they do or not (yes I should probably just test it rather than asking the list ;) Pete [1] https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2020/02/25/firefox-continues-push-to-bring-dns-over-https-by-default-for-us-users/ > On 27/02/2020, at 1:19 PM, Mark Andrews <ma...@isc.org> wrote: > > DOH isn’t supposed to override /etc/hosts or NIS. > >> On 27 Feb 2020, at 07:07, Pete Mundy <p...@fiberphone.co.nz> wrote: >> >> >> Oh man, I'm going to miss doing this when DoH from inside the app takes over >> :( >> >> >>> On 27/02/2020, at 8:52 AM, Tim Sheahan <t...@timsheahan.com> wrote: >>> >>> As a work-around, it ought to work if you temporarily use the hosts file to >>> hand-specify the desired result >> >> _______________________________________________ >> AusNOG mailing list >> AusNOG@lists.ausnog.net >> http://lists.ausnog.net/mailman/listinfo/ausnog > > -- > Mark Andrews, ISC > 1 Seymour St., Dundas Valley, NSW 2117, Australia > PHONE: +61 2 9871 4742 INTERNET: ma...@isc.org > _______________________________________________ AusNOG mailing list AusNOG@lists.ausnog.net http://lists.ausnog.net/mailman/listinfo/ausnog
