Claire,
The Getting Started guide has been published; that is, it is the "final" verion, and so the wiki should be made to agree with the ODT/PDF version.

"Final" versions of documents can still be reviewed and corrected, of course, if you or others find errors. ("Final" in our documentation isn't like "code freeze" in programs and online help.) However, "enhancements" to the Getting Started book won't be done until the next major revision (not sure when that will be, but we have to finish the other books first).

Nino,
The ODTs for the English version of the Getting Started book are the latest, most up to date, version, despite having a few minor typos in them. The wiki is out of sync.

I worked only in the Wiki and ran through the instructions on my own for
Ch1-8 - it took me a good few days. I also compared to the latest pdfs as
well because I was under the impression that the ODT was under
construction/in review so until it's finally published it's pointless doing
endless updates until the ODT content is confirmed as final.

ok. Did you work only in the Wiki or did you compare Wiki with ODT (and
transfer your changes to the ODT), too?
