I will try to take a look at this, but, for now, my bed is calling me. Before I heed the call, however.

I have a few comments:

Clair,

Clair Comment 1:
Your first comment is that when you followed the example and used pate special, this accomplished nothing. My guess is that this is because you did not fill in the paste options the same way as the example. If you do not check "paste all", and you also have no check for any of the pasted things (number will suffice), then nothing is pasted. In other words, you must paste a number, or you cannot multiply.

Clair Comment 2:
I verified that the BASIC has not changed. Also, as to why someone would look or care. Well, I thought that was the purpose of this chapter. My opinion is that it is silly to question this in the chapter, but not silly to question if the chapter should exist at all (I know, seems silly for me to say).

Comment for myself (Andrew Pitonyak)
What was I think with those figure labels? An exercise in stating the obvious? For example, "Figure 7. OpenOffice.org Basic Macros dialog."

Clair:
Good catch on mentioning that Open documents are listed in Figure 7.

Misc Comment:
In the text it explicitly states that a "+" character is used, and this is true in the screen shots. I no longer see a + character for expanding lists and such, this has been replaced with a different character on my version. Enough for now, too late for me.
