Can you be more specific as to what the "branding" will be. I've seen Jonathon's note about the French localized version, but will anything else change? Is it a logo in an illustration that is changing or the description of a product mentioned in the guides? If so it's probably a good argument for using a variable so that you only have to do one change per document.
