I've been following the conversation. I got your links, Andy, and saw
that Jean Hollis Weber had sent the same links a couple days prior. Her
email didn't get run through my mail filter so I had overlooked it. They
were very helpful.
I just want to be able to know where to go and what to do without
clicking through to several different sources in an attempt to unravel
and figure out what's what. For example, I was initially confused by the
two separate logins for OOoAuthors and OOo. It took me a while to
realize I was dealing with two different sites, OOo's Documentation
Project and OOoAuthors. There is information pertinent to newbies on
both sites, but it seems to be organized in a way I was having trouble
making sense of... some here and some there. I'm sure there's some
history there behind how and why the OOoA site came to be. It'd be nice
to know it.
It's gotten easier to piece things together with help from the list and
by exploring the sites on my own. Still, I like to see the big picture.
I prefer to be able to see the whole and connect its parts from there.
Jeanlock's idea of listing team members and explaining the structure
appeals to me for that reason. I like Niko's flow chart. It's exactly
the kind of thing I find helpful.

Andy,
Thanks so much. Out of these little grains of sand, I suspect that
clarity will emerge. As I have said before, I don't expect to actually
become really active until next month. But I'm reading everything, and
will create some stuff for myself.
BTW, is there any kind of a directory of participants?

Yes, there will also be singing. About the dark times."
