Version 3.3 should not contain many, if any surprises, as I have worked with it the past several months without noticing anything amiss in the functions that I use--as I recall. The developers seem to have gotten over their previous habits of releasing lousy snapshots, much unlike some from previous versions. Currently, I am using the current 3.4.0 snapshot, which seems OK also.
