Thanks for responding even while traveling. I was in Singapore in 1977
and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the streets, etc. Turns
out that the govt there is very strict about such things. This was part
of my very first international travel experience, and I nearly freaked
out when at the airport they yanked me out of my group and stashed me in
an office to await the arrival of a doctor. Turns out somehow someone
slipped a cog and my passport/medical stuff hadn't been signed
indicating I'd had all the proper signatures, etc. Scared me almost to
death. A much better memory is sitting in the garden of the Raffles
hotel, after a rain, drinking a Singapore Sling.
Bon Voyage.
And Thanks.
