I have begun work on a guide to producing OOo user guides, a project
that's been on my todo list for a long time. It will pull together and
expand upon a lot of existing info and include new info. It should
complement what Jean Lockwood is doing and the info in the style guide
and writer's guide.

The general idea is to cover the technical aspects of production,
which a lot of newcomers may not be familiar with (for example, use of
our template, change tracking, inserting and anchoring images, and so
on). BTW, some of our production methods are going to change later
this year or early next year as we (a) move to more efficient methods
of reusing information common to two or more books and (b) change some
practices to make production in multiple formats (PDF, wiki, ePub)
easier to automate.

As a first step, I will post a proposed outline on the wiki and invite
people to comment. I hope to get that step done within the next few
days.
