I have completely revised this chapter to take account of changes in the program, which have made the process much easier and removed the need for several workarounds described in the previous version of the chapter. Needs a careful and thorough review.
One could describe numerous other tips and tricks for using master documents to full advantage, but I think these would be better left to a longer document with more detailed and complete examples included. (This has been on our wish list for years.) However, if you notice that some particularly important topic has been left out, or you think some of the instructions need more detail, do say so. Much of this chapter requires the reader to be familiar with concepts and instructions given in other chapters; repeating all that information here seemed to me to be inappropriate.
