If you are going to add a cautionary note, then it should state that:
* Not all extensions are available for all operating systems;
* Extensions work with the version of the OOo that was current, when the
extension was publicly released;
* Extensions may not work with versions of OOo that have been released
since the extension was publicly released;
* Extension may not work with versions of OOo that were released prior
to the public release of the extension;
* Extensions may not work with variants, such as OOo4Kids or OOoLight;
* Extension development usually lags behind OOo development;

Sometime around the release of OOo 1.1.4, there was a document
describing the then available extensions and macros. I've forgotten who
wrote it, and where it was distributed from.

Some of the current extensions do have their own documentation.

Probably the most useful thing for users would be a brief guide to the
extensions that work in OOo 3.2 and/or OOo 3.3:
* Functionality that they add;
* Extensions that they are incompatible with;
* Operating systems that they are compatible with;
