I don't think Writer supports anything like cell styles.
Drat.... Alas, you are correct. And if I remember correctly, a paragraph style is insufficient to properly set the background style, so, the macro would need to hard certain values, which is problematic to automate.
We can use a table autoformat to change the colors, but I don't know any way to automate that (in the way that changes to colors in paragraph or character styles can be automated).
You are indeed correct, because direct formatting would need to be done and the work required to attempt to automate and recognize when and where would be overly cumbersome unless everything was totally uniform; zero exceptions.
Very sad!
If other people think an attractive appearance is more important than speed and ease of use by the docs team, well... I disagree.
I feel that it is very important, but, the work required is not tenable if it cannot be done in a simple way such as by modifying a few styles (which is trivially automated).
Very sad about that. -- Andrew Pitonyak My Macro Document: http://www.pitonyak.org/AndrewMacro.odt Info: http://www.pitonyak.org/oo.php --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
