Okay, last email.

The Debian-legal team was very friendly and helpful. They have kindly
helped me write down a copyright notice for us:

This document is Copyright 2004 by its contributors as defined
in the section titled Authors. This document is released under
the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later
(http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html), or under the terms of the
Creative Commons Attribution License, version 2.0 or later
    (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/), at your option.

As the notice implies, there would be a section called "Authors" that
lists everyone who contributed to the doc. This section would meet both
the copyright requirement, and CC-BY's attribution requirement.

Here is more or less what the new template would look like:

http://oooauthors.org/Members/dcarrera/new-template.sxw/file_view

Compare it with the current one:

http://oooauthors.org/groups/authors/userguide2/resources/chapter_template_v2.0.stw

Notice that the new template is "cleaner". The copyright section shorter
and simpler. The Modifications section is gone. The ugly footer on the
cover page is gone. These were all PDL requirements. I also removed one
step from the instructions (caused by the PDL again).

Also notice a new page at the end for "Authors".

So, this is the proposal. What does everyone think?
