G'day Lin,
Here is my suggestion for where you could really help with the reviewing and editing: work on the Migration Guide. It was originally written by Ian Laurenson (another Kiwi). Various chapters have been worked on by several people, especially during the revisions for OOoV2.

I have not had time to do more than a quick skim of the chapters, just enough to declare them publishable in draft form. It would be great if you could go through all of the published V2 chapters of the Migration Guide and do a thorough review and edit, including making sure all the chapters are consistent in the version of English used -- in this case that level of consistency is quite appropriate, because it's essentially a one-author book. I think it's in "Australian/NZ English" at the moment, but I probably injected some extra commas to make it easier for me to follow. :-)

How does that sound? The chapters are all in this folder:

Language note (because I happen to be thinking of it):
One thing I remove from the UK and Australian chapters is the word "tick" (meaning "to select a checkbox"), because US Americans are not always familiar with that term. I also prefer not to use the word "check" in that context, because "check" is used to mean "look at and make sure" or "look at and verify". So we "select" checkboxes. Not only that, I tend to not use the term "checkbox" and just say "select <blah blah>" where <blah blah> is the label of the checkbox.

Cheers, Jean
