When trying to confirm whether specific behaviors are by design, OS
specific and thus accepted as normal behavior, or a bug or unintentional
"issue" that may be worked out in a later release I ask on the
developers' mailing lists. I have received excellent (and very candid)
responses to may queries from the list-members.

I have received insiders' views of OOo's specifications and development,
which is priceless. Without information on several subjects I would have
not had any real resources to count on.

I would suggest these lists:

interface-discuss@openoffice.org
