The process for creating a new user account on the oooauthors.org site
has been changed slightly. Previously, if you created a new user
account, you got immediate access to the site. Now, the system generates
a default password and emails it to you; you must login with the
generated password, at which point you can change your password.
This change creates a slightly higher barrier to entry, to deter
potential abuse, though it can still be circumvented. This change should
not affect any existing accounts. However, if we have any pages that
contain instructions on how to create an account, they should be
updated. I didn't see any such pages on the English section of the site.
