I've just fired up Win2K and the dialogues render correctly, so the bug
seems to be XP specific! I'll check for an open issue and raise one if
necessary.

No issue found so Issue 72223 raised.

Pete,
Not XP specific. I get the same rendering in m189 under FC5 and this has
been around for a long time. I remember discussing this with Jean either
early this year or about this time last year.
The key phrase is "seems to be". The rendering is correct under Win2K
and Debian Etch. I no longer have an FC5 installation, so trying to
identify why it occurs there as well as XP is not going to be easy. Are
the buttons rounded under FC5?: that appears to be the significant
difference between Win2K and XP, together with the '3D' shading.
The more evidence we can gather the quicker it will be fixed - he said,
naively.
