Well, the way I fix them is to copy the screenshot from the chapter, paste it into Draw, add the text boxes etc there, group everything, then export to PNG and replace the image in the chapter with the PNG I just created. Using this technique, it's irrelevant what OS the original screenshot was captured from.
There may be better ways to do this, but it works for me. --Jean
