Still very interested!! When I get home tonight I will take a look and
see what I can do. I got sidetracked by a Linux book I was loaned!

I realise it's still summer holidays for many of you, but the lack of

I'd really like to see some of us get started writing something. As
you know, I won't be able to do any writing for awhile, and I'm
dubious how much I can do anyway, given my lack of knowledge on the
topic. I feel confident tackling Chapter 1, if no one else does it,
but beyond that... I don't know.
So... will anyone step up and volunteer to draft one of the chapters?
Even a rough draft would be great at this point. Pick a chapter and
develop the tentative list of topics into a proper outline, with some
text where possible and notes for more info or needed images,
pointers to info sources, anything to start filling in the blanks!
Anyone?

Hi Walter, et al,
Just by way of keeping folks up to date.
The last couple of days there has been an exchange on the base mailing
lest about functions available with the standard Base database.
This lead me to create page on the wiki today ( first draft anyway )
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Built-in_functions_and_Stored_Procedures
Prior to this I had been maintaining this in a Calc file available from
my FTP site.
I am hoping that doing this on the wiki will then lend itself to making
this available for use in the actual documentation.
At present the conversation on the mailing list is changing to 'what
should this page actually have in it and how to lay it out', so not sure
if it makes sense to cross post some of this to this list?
Thanks
Drew
