I installed QNX currently distributed from the QNX site (uname -r shows 6.00)
and I couldn't reproduce the problem with ${FOO=$bar}

However, I haven't tested Autoconf yet. I hope to do it this evening.

In the meantime please don't fix things that are possibly not broken.
