I think the idea is that when bug reports come to [EMAIL PROTECTED], often a user
will remember to send the output of 'configure --version', if nothing else, and the
package of origin & version of Autoconf used to generate configure are often useful
in replying.  More so than the version of gcc used to generate a C file anyhow.

Am I wrong?
