maybe I have a similar problem with autofs-3.1.7-14 (RH 7.1,
Kernel-2.4.3) :
I want the directory /home/admin to be automounted.
Here is my auto.master
/home /etc/auto.home
My /etc/auto.home contains only the following line:
admin -fstype=smbfs,username=admin,password=' grxv5?' ://gw/admin
That fails because autofs seem to parse this not as I wished.
The logs say sth like this:
automount[7560]: mount(generic): failed to mount grxv5?' (type smbfs) on
/home/admin
Of course grxv5?' is not the share ;-))
How can i make the autofs parse the password (with the space inside)
correctly.
