I was wondering about the multiple libtool runs, but figured there was some difference if you only built shared or only built static, compared to doing both in the same build. But that does not seem to be the case if I read the rationale for this change. Does it really make a difference if you add both AC_ENABLE_SHARED and AC_ENABLE_STATIC? I thought that was the default? According to the Libtool manual it should be the default unless they clash, but in that case it seems detrimental to force both??? Cheers, Peter
