I don't see why I need that, but I tried, and it still didn't
work. This is what it looks like now:
AC_CHECK_FUNCS(dlopen, , [AC_CHECK_LIB(dl,dlopen, ,
[AC_MSG_ERROR([
*** Zen does not function properly without dlopen, sorry.])])])
which gave exactly the same error as before.
