Cygwin's autoconf/automake/libtool scripts are very basic, and are tied across all three tools - ie. autoconf 2.13 + automake 1.4 + libtool 1.4 or autoconf 2.52 + automake 1.5 + libtool-rc. The heuristics are fairly simply, but (so far) quite reliable. Rob
