This is something to consider in the longish term; however, I first need
to sort the loose ends in Automake myself (that might require few months,
but there's no reason to hurry), to leave the codebase and the list of
planned change in a cleaner state.  That shouldn't be a problem.  Then we
can re-consider the question with more calm and detachment.
