Since our tests start to be (sometimes) disk space demanding, I set gb_diskspace_required: 5 in ~autotest/global_config.ini on both autoqa production and staging. That should make sure our tests don't crash because of insufficient disk space, the clients just get locked.
In the future we need to solve how to automatically prune some directories (like mock cache), since they just grow and grow.
