Hi Yiqiao,
I want to update netperf for Windows guests, but I upstream
netperf_win doesn't work.
netperf.netperf_cygwin (doesn't work, no code to setup cygwin for
windows guest in upstream)
We have a 'cyg_install' case in rh internal to install cygwin for
Windoes guest, but it's pushed to Autotest upstream. But cygwin is
used in netperf.netperf_cygwin
Thanks for find this problem I will send patch for that case too.
Please help to push this case to upstream, and make sure it works. I
suggest to test patches with fresh environment& git tree& images&
etc before sending patches to upstream. Otherwise, it looks work, but
it doesn't work really.
I always use the images from my internal tree test machine. So I didn't
find the cygwin problem. And I will pay attention next time.
But netperf_win.exe is working well in upstream. Please notice the
comments in cfg files. You need set up params "client, host" with your
own env. And the netperf related windows exe and scripts files. I
already send them to lmr. And he will help me to update them in
winutils.iso. If you want to test them now, you may can use our internal
winutils.iso first.
Can you help to update netperf.exe in winutils.iso to 2.6.0 and test
if case works?
About this seems you and wenli already get some solution :)
I have finished some code of netperf demo-mode and only tested with
linux guests. I will send it out first, we can fix netperf_win part
latter.
Looking forward for your patches. And as window netperf actually only
add some prepare steps. The main function for test running is the same
with Linux. So you can run it with windows guests too just with the
netperf_win params which using for env setup in windows guest.
