has anybody tought about running the Axis SOAP implementation as block in Phoenix?
+1 for thought.
Strange enough that the semi-commercial Glue has good support but the Jakarta-Axis doesn't, eh?
For me that looks like a standard block like the socket connection manager.
The reason was that Glue allowed 'publish(Object, interfaces)' and used reflection to correctly create the WSDL. To Java, it was transparent in use. At the time Axis was not finished and to my mind was not as simple to wrap....
