There is a similar duplicate project setup on Jakarta:
There are two regex packages. ORO and Regexp. Regexp came first. Then ORO.
Regexp is small and compact and not as feature rich and ORO is larger and
more feature rich.
If anything, the smaller package should be merged into the larger package
and both of them should be provided as alternatives to each other.
I feel the same way about LogKit and Log4J. LogKit should be merged into
Log4J and made available via a separate .jar file.
