I don't know if this was intentional, but there appear to be no mailing list archvies for the CVS messages, since they got split off to a separate mailing list. I was trying to figure out why the build was broken (looks like maybe due to changes below), and realized I no longer had CVS messages coming in, so tried to look at the archives.
