(and status of my PC at the bottom)
I've added my personal priorities here:
4 - Place "package.html" files in the source for Excalibur [High]
3 - Convert to JUnit [High]
1 Document Release schedule [high]
+ Framework is feature based
+ LogKit and Excalibur are 3 month intervals
+ Cornerstone/Phoenix should be 3 month intervals as well (Alpha)
2 Document Scratchpad to Excalibur promotion [high]
+ Must conform to Avalon idioms
+ API must be stable
+ Must have three +1 votes and no -1 votes
5 Component Directory [Wish]
7 CJAN/JJAN/JNLP integration [Wish]
6 Move to DocBook dtd [High]
8* Code autoformat for CVS [Low]
+ only for .java files
* I'm concerned this will be buggy.

Is he back now? Short answer: yes.
Long answer:
Remember how I talked a while ago about totally getting rid of MS
when I got ADSL?
To cut a very long and boring story a bit shorter, I have spent countless
hours trying to get either of linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, Darwin and even
minix to work with ADSL. It turns out the _only_ way to do this
so it _actually_ works like it should is by doing some (illegal)
hacking of the ADSL modem. Which I cannot do as I work for my ISP...
Thus, I decided to abandon the effort and install windows 2000 with
cygwin. While trying to reformat my hard drive to NTFS, I managed to
screw it up so completely that the only thing I could do to get running
again was run an 'NSA-strength' data destroyer boot floppy over the
entire disk. Took 87 hours, btw.
I installed win2000 on a FAT 32 disk. Worked fine for about two days;
when I tried to install the latest service pack though, the thing started
hickupping; when I installed IE 5.5, it died. Hurray.
So, now I'm running the ugly but at least working windows 98 again.....
The lesson to be learned here: if you want cool (new) technology, it is
all but impossible to go around the microsoft monopoly.
Fortunately, java is platform-independent =)
Anyhow, I learned about the release at work from the Slashdot website...
I'm now downloading. Looks good people; congrats on the amount of work
done in the last few weeks.
My avalon mail folder still has 250 unread e-mails in it, so it'll be a
while before I'm up to speed. Which is when I will _finally_ get around
to JMX/phoenix (if Pete hasn't done it already).
Bla bla bla bla....in short, it's good to be back 8-)
