Okay it is basically redone now. I haven't tested it extensively but it
should work (ie works in all places I used it). One thing though, before we
move it to main hierarchy I would like to put implementation in a different
package. However I could only think of
org.apache.avalon.excalibur.thread.impl which kinda sucks but I can't think
of anything better. Thoughts?
