Links to the APIs need to have the full http:// URL in it--otherwise,
the link crawling will attempt to resolve and generate it. In this
case, it did so with a ".xml" extension. I am not too sure why the
link crawling does that, but I do know that if you specify full URLs
for externally generated stuff, you won't have that problem.
