Here are a couple of contributor types / roles that I'd unilaterally
decided to model.... slightly tongue in cheekly...
Hinderer :- (level -1 project assitance)
* Gain help by asking questions.
* Contribute nothing back.
* Welcome of course, but we wish you'd give a little back ??
Lurker :- (level 0 project assitance)
* Ask nothing
* Help with nothing
* Welcome of course
Ex Lurker :- (level 1 project assitance)
* See comments that are helpful in the general list chatter
* Identify that the website docs do not contain the relevent comments
(check website
itself or "fin in files" through
http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs/jakarta-avalon-site/docs/
after getting it from CVS)
* Post a message suggesting that the otherwise transient comment made
by a committer (or other) should
be persisted to xdocs
Beginner contributor :- (level 2 project assitance)
* As level 1.
* Take the time to cut/paste bits of a conversation to make a
section for pasting into xdocs
Maturing contributor :- (level 3 project assitance)
* As level 1
* Supply patch for xdocs xml page, even to the point of putting your
name in the authors if you have added value to the snipped content.
Unmodelled are Fan, Advocate, Enemy-within, Protagonist, Disssenter,
Perplexed, Sociopath.....
