The client is designed to work when the server is not running and then reconnect when the server comes back on line. It would actually be nice to be able to disable the feature where altrmi tries to reconnect 3 times. This would clean things up a bit. I could probably get rid of this appearant hang problem by making the menus be driven off of a cached version of information from the host rather than requesting live info when the menus are being displayed. Like you said though, we still have to figure out why you are not able to connect. Are you sure that the port is correct?
