I reject the timings of this. Please can we push everything further out by a week or two. I understand that may be nonoptimal in terms of linking in with the Apache board mtg on the18th, but it is just too short for me.
I also think this list of people is too large given the 6 month rule. They are all friends and fans of Avalon, but active presently??

The discussion - under the thread "[PROPOSAL] Avalon PMC Draft Resolution" was kicked-off earlier this morning. The proposal outlines a draft resolution for discussion. Under the proposal, a formal majority vote of committers is scheduled to to take place on Thursday 14 November 2002, closing Saturady 16 (72 hours later). The vote, if sucessful will initate actions towards the establishment of Avalon as a top-level Apache PMC, composed of active committers. The purpose of this email is to draw you attention to the schedule we are working within, the options available to you concerning potential PMC participation (detailed in the proposal), and not least - to encorage your participation to the discussion taking place on avalon-dev.
