Hi,

Some people have pointed out that cornerstone and some of the apps don't 
follow what we have recomended as "best-practices" wrt the way define 
BlockInfo.

Essentially a whole bunch of blocks still define the version="1.0" attribute 
when it is not required and they also define the <role/> element when it is 
not required. 

I started to fix a few instances but if someone could blitz the rest of the 
codebase and make sure that we don't define anything redundently then that 
would be fantastic.
