I am using mandrake8.0 on amd-Duron 750MHz (kernel-2.4.3,
gcc-2.95.3, XFree86-4.1.0). I compiled from the avifile tar.gz (of 3rd
August) without ffmpeg support. When I run it, it segfaults. This is the
output of "gdb /opt/avifile/bin/aviplay" ->
