I finaly got cvs avifile to compile today (although mixing x86opt and
ffmpeg still fails). I've got a 576x432 DivX file that I can't get the
audio to sync w/. The "Audio/Video Sync Adjustment" slider bar doesn't
actually to anything. My system is:

450MHz K6-3
256 MB RAM
Matrox G200 16MB RAM
Creative Ensoniq ES1370

2.4.7 kernel
XFree86 Version 4.0.99.1 (I thought it was 4.0.2, but
/var/log/XFree86.0.log says 4.0.99.1)
glibc-2.1.3-22
gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)

I can make the DivX file available, but it's 352MB and my uplink is capped
at 128Kb/s, so it'd take a while. You could grab it from
alt.binaries.multimedia.andromeda if you have a decent news server (it's
the Andromeda-2x01-The.Widening.Gyre-CiD-WoW posting).
