In the first place this bugreport is wrong - you should send at least
the log of avifile start.
I guess you are probably missing SDL (probably -dev packages) so
avifile is most probably compiled without Video output.
There are huge warnings (I couldn't imagine to make them bigger)
about this situation so it's hard to not notice them - but some users seems
to simply ignore them -
Se please send directly to me your config.log - and log of configure &
start of aviplay - so I could see what is going wrong
