What kind of kernel do you have ?
As this is serious problem - and you can't use any Win32 codec in this
case

Don't you have somehow dissable support for mmap - or aren't you
using some extra kernel security patches ?

You should be able to use other native codecs to play DivX movies -
and if you still get coredump with latest version -
please try to send me dump from gdb
gdb /your/aviplay/binary core (or core.pid) depends on what kernel
do you use - a lot of older kernels in non-ac version gave completely
random dumps so they have been useless)
