This error is somewhat a challenge for the current avifile architecture and
I guess this will require some rewrites which will influence backward
compatibility.

For now I'm trying to cleanup a lot of newly introduced bugs
(e.g. fixup autoquality,

It's actually in the library itself for a long time - the only
missing part is that player will have to control this status and eventually
it should wait when the buffer is too low and continue with playing
when it will be reasonably full again - not a big problem rather
a cosmetic issue (at least for those connected via 100Mb/s networks :))

Well I do not plan to write any pluggin to for any other software -
I'm writing avifile mostly for myself and I've my own goals
(and Netscape/Mozilla pluggin is definitely not even at the
bottom of my personal to-do list) - but of course
if anyone wants to write this - he might open an account on sf
and he might write this part of avifile himself.

btw what is the advantage of having an embeded player in the Netscape ?
I could only see zillion of disadvantages.
