Hello, When I originally installed AviFile, I had no issues with compilation/configuration. It also worked flawlessly in playing any *.avi movie files.
However, now, when I try to play the same files, the picture is, as before, perfect, but the sound doesn't work. I ran it in terminal to see any possible messages that may indicate my problem and recieved this (when trying to open the file FGuy-poochie.avi): Audio format 44100/16/stereo Audio Renderer: FATAL: Can't open audio device File FGuy-poochie.sub not found File FGuy-poochie.SUB not found This message was not only displayed when I played this file (or files I have played before), but also new files that I had recently downloaded. I am running Mandrake Linux 8.1, KDE 2.2, an Intel 810 82810E graphics controller, and an Intel 82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller, and have all win32 dll's required by AviFile installed in the proper directory. If you would be so kind as to explain my malfunction and possibly a treatment, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. -- Get your free email from www.linuxmail.org Powered by Outblaze _______________________________________________ Avifile mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://prak.org/mailman/listinfo/avifile
