Of course it could - but as you are the first one to complain - you
are mostly probably the only one who could figure this out.
I suppose the you kernel audio driver is probably not setting
something.

Check  samples/qtvidcap/dsp.cpp
method  dsp::open

There is whole setup of OSS device for recording - quite simple.

Then check how the program which works for you is setting the
device and try to implement differencies - if you are not programmer
it will be probably more complicated.


BTW - why don't have choosed SBLive card and basicaly replaced 'less then
average' on board chip with the same one on a PCI card ?
